Consultation
Before the implantation of new teeth, you can arrange a non-binding consultation at one of our Lifedent practices at any time. We will explain the implantation process to you in detail, answer all your questions and address your concerns and fears. If you decide to have a dental implant, we will carry out thorough preliminary examinations.
Which preliminary examinations are necessary?
During the preliminary examinations, we examine your teeth, the condition of your jaw and analyze the structure of your jawbone using precise X-rays so that we can create the ideal starting situation for your dental implant.
Why do pretreatments have to be done?
Caries, inflamed gums or tooth roots may need to be treated before the actual implantation. In some cases, bone grafting may also be necessary. All of these pretreatments create the ideal conditions for your dental implant.
How is the dental implant placed?
After the optimal basis for your dental implant has been created, we move on to planning and inserting the dental implant. The actual implantation of the fixed dentures is carried out under local anesthesia. General anesthesia is not necessary for this procedure, but may be considered for anxious patients. A small incision exposes the jawbone and the implant screw is precisely inserted into the jaw and the temporary denture is attached, so you can go home with a smile straight after the procedure.
