CEREC is the abbreviation for CEremic REConstruction. It is a computer-aided method for producing dentures made of all-ceramic. We no longer need any impression material, just a digital 3D scan. Together with special software, we can then produce your dentures directly in our LifeDent practice.
We take the time to understand your needs and answer your questions. Together we decide which solution is best for you.
The affected tooth is prepared: caries or old fillings are removed and the surface is smoothed.
We use a small intraoral camera to scan the tooth and the surrounding structures. This procedure is quick, precise and comfortable.
We transfer the recorded data into a 3D program in which we design your dentures individually. We take your bite ratio and the natural shape of your teeth into account.
The planned dental prosthesis is then cut out of a ceramic block using a state-of-the-art milling machine. This process takes around 15 minutes.
The finished denture is individually adjusted, refined if necessary and then inserted. You can immediately enjoy the full functionality and aesthetics.
The CEREC procedure is incredibly versatile and is suitable for a wide variety of types of dentures.
In short: no matter what the challenge, CEREC offers a modern, comfortable and aesthetic solution for your dentures!

No, the CEREC procedure is gentle. Thanks to the digital scan, the unpleasant impression procedures are no longer necessary.
Unlike conventional dentures, Cerec can be manufactured directly in the dentist’s office. No impression tray or impression material is required, nor are any temporary dentures required.
It is suitable for crowns, inlays, veneers and bridges.
Yes, all-ceramic is extremely stable and durable. It can withstand even the high loads on chewing surfaces and is often compared to the stability of gold.
If you take good care of your teeth, a Cerec denture can last up to 15 years.
The full ceramic dentures feel natural. If the dentures are professionally fitted, there are no pressure points or irritations.
Digital impressions with the intraoral camera are extremely precise. They capture even the smallest details that are often difficult to capture manually.
Thanks to the high precision of CEREC, adjustments are rare. If the dentures still do not fit properly, we can correct this directly in our practice.
To attach the Cerec dentures, we use a dental adhesive
or cement.
Yes, in principle it is possible to treat several teeth in one session. How long this takes, however, depends on how many and how complete the dentures need to be.
Ceramic is very resistant to discoloration caused by coffee, tea or other foods. With good care, the dentures will remain color-stable over the long term.
If a Cerec denture is damaged, it must be remade. Unfortunately, it cannot be repaired. However, the production is straightforward, as the digital impression has been saved.
