Teeth cleaning with brackets
During fixed treatment, dental care is significantly more demanding. Our staff will be happy to show you how to brush your teeth properly – step by step.
Bracket has come loose
Please call immediately and schedule an emergency appointment!
On weekends, you may carefully attempt to open the bracket and remove it from the wire. Please be sure to bring the bracket with you to your scheduled appointment!
The wire bothers or pricks
Now it’s time to apply the wax we gave you to take home.
Protect the affected area with it. If that doesn’t help, please schedule an emergency appointment immediately!
Toothache
During active treatment, your teeth move, which is why they may be temporarily sensitive.
However, the sensitivity should subside after about a week.
Wearing time of the brace
To ensure optimal performance and allow your jaw, teeth, and muscles to adjust to the new situation, the braces should be worn for 14 to 16 hours a day.
Especially with FKO appliances, wearing them during the day is significantly more effective than wearing them only at night!
Brace broken
If something breaks, please call the practice as soon as possible and schedule an appointment.
